The reference
Exactly which watch it is, and whether the version matches what is on the case and the papers.
Every watch we sell is checked by us before it enters stock. On top of that you get a year's guarantee on the movement, and your statutory rights continue to apply as well.
You get three things that stand apart from one another. Your statutory rights as a consumer, which always apply and which nobody can contract away. Alongside them our own one-year guarantee on the movement. And third, the assurance that the watch was checked by us before it went on sale.
With a used watch people sometimes think there is no warranty. There is. The law draws no distinction between new and pre-owned: a watch has to be what you may reasonably expect of it. What does differ is the bar, because of a thirty-year-old watch you may expect something other than of a new one.
We give a year's guarantee on the movement. If the watch does not run properly, we put it right. That guarantee is an addition and does not limit your statutory rights; nor would it be allowed to. What our guarantee is not about is damage: a drop, a knock, water where it should not be, or a strap that gives up after years of wear.
Every watch is checked by us before it enters stock. What we checked on a specific watch is on the product page itself, because that differs from one example and one brand to the next.
Call or send a message before you buy. We would rather tell you beforehand what to expect of a watch than have you find out afterwards.
Four rules about your rights and two about ours. The first two apply at every Dutch seller and appear here because many people do not know them.
Reuven Watches is the trading name of RNW, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 74208780. This page gives the broad outline; where it differs from the terms and conditions or from the law, the law prevails.
Four things checked on every watch. Exactly what was examined on your watch is on the product page itself.
Exactly which watch it is, and whether the version matches what is on the case and the papers.
Whether the dial, the hands, the bezel and the bracelet belong together and to the reference.
Whether the watch runs as it should and whether the functions do what they must.
Box, papers and accessories. What is and is not included is stated for each watch.
Every watch in our stock we bought and assessed ourselves. There is no middleman between us and the watch, and that is why we can say what has been checked.
Get in touch first and do not go to a workshop yourself. Doing so makes a guarantee claim harder, not easier.
Call or email and describe what you notice: does the watch run fast or slow, does it stop, or does a function not work. A photo or a video helps.
Do not go to a jeweller or workshop before we have seen it. Work by a third party makes it harder to establish where the fault came from.
You bring the watch to Utrecht or we arrange how to get it to us safely. We establish what is wrong.
If it falls under the guarantee or under your statutory rights, we sort it out. If it falls outside, we say so and you hear what the options are.
Nogmaals bedankt vriend!!
The watch is in great condition, as described. Communication was good and easy. Delivery in France was fast and perfect. You can trust them. I will buy again

Yes. Statutory rights apply to a used watch as well: it has to be what you may reasonably expect of it. What you may expect does depend on the condition and the price, and the condition is on each watch's product page.
Alongside that we give a year's guarantee on the movement. It sits beside your statutory rights and does not limit them.
The movement. If the watch does not run properly, stops or has a function that does not work, we put it right.
What it does not cover is damage: a drop, a knock, water where it should not be, scratches and a strap that gives up after years of wear. Those are not faults but use.
Every watch is checked by us before it enters stock. We look at the reference, at whether the parts belong together and to that reference, and at how it works.
What was checked on a specific watch is on the product page itself, because that differs by brand and by example.
If a fault comes to light within a year of delivery, the law assumes it was already there at delivery. So you do not have to prove it; the seller may try to rebut that presumption.
That period was six months and on 27 April 2022 was extended to twelve. It applies at every Dutch seller and therefore at us too.
What comes with a watch is on the product page: the original box, the brand's papers, service receipts and accessories differ from one watch to the next.
If no box or card is included, that is stated too. We sell watches without papers as well and simply say so, rather than leave it out.
Before you buy you can come by in Utrecht and see the watch for yourself; on a purchase of this size we recommend it.
If you have already bought it and think something is wrong, tell us first and have nothing done to it yet. Work by a third party makes it harder to establish where a fault came from.
On a distance purchase you have fourteen days to change your mind, counted from the day you receive the watch. You may examine and try it on as you would in a shop.
The watch must come back undamaged. If it has been used more than needed to assess it, a deduction for loss of value may be made. How a return works in practice is set out on payment and shipping.
We do business worldwide and our Chrono24 profile is international. Our one-year guarantee on the movement applies then too.
For the practical side, such as how a watch travels out and back, we go through it with you before you buy. Get in touch about that.
Call or send a message before you buy. We would rather tell you beforehand what to expect of a watch than have you find out afterwards.
